Depends on your budget. One can reach Rishikesh, Dehradun etc. from Delhi. Even shorter getaway could simply be some resorts in Manesar or Neemrana fort. I am utilising this weekend on a trek in Himachal.

You can also try Dapoli. Stay there and then cover various virgin beaches and rustic tourist places such as Ladhghar beach, Karde Beach, Aanjarle etc. I recommend to stay in Fern Samali , Dapoli resort.

Hi, The fastest way to reach Ooty from Rameshwaram is via car i.e 6 hrs. Next option is take a bus or train to Coimbatore and then take a cab from their to Ooty.
