Evaluating personal situation and risks before planning any trip.
Advance Planning - Hotel booking etc
Choose transportation methods carefully.
Keep human contact at a minimum
Carry your own water, sanitizer and mask while traveling.

North starts getting cold late October.South will have rains from June moving up from the Western ghats and then covering up the entire country.
