Meghalaya, also known as the abode of clouds. It has the highest rainfall, known for its caves and biodiversity. Also the only place with hanging root bridges and untouched natural beauty.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Meghalaya, the “abode of clouds” is a paradise for nature lovers, home to a beautiful, mesmerizing sky, filled with huge hills, valleys, numerous lakes, captivating waterfalls, pitch dark caves, and sacred forests with panoramic views, foggy hills, terraced slopes, cascading waterfalls, and serpentine rivers mesmerizing your soul. You can visit Shillong, Cherrapunjee, Tura, Jowai, Nongpoh, Baghmara . Whereas Sikkim is known for its beautiful scenery, green meadow, crystalline lakes and towering mountain ranges with the coexistence of Hinduism and Buddhism with monasteries, rhododendron groves and thick woodlands, orange and apple orchards, sanctuary of wildlife is your go-to for trekking into the Himalayas and river rafting on the Teesta and Rangit. Both are beautiful places in it is own unique sense. But for me Sikkim is more preferable than Meghalaya. You can have your own take basis which place seems more panoramic to you.

Hi, Depends on What you plan to do 1. Do not overspeed. If police identify u not as a local you are in trouble 2. Do not litter. People are very particular about cleanliness 3. Very little hindi. Difficult for people who don't know malyalam 4. Everyone loves yamaha rx100 and bullet 5. Traveling in local bus is a nightmare 6. Paradise for sea food lovers 7. Should nog pay toll if you are a local or in govt vehicle apart from main highway tolls 8. Respect customs

Hi, Whatever trek you do never wear a canvas for sure. Please always check gradient surrounding where you are going, height, time to trek, which will decide how good a shoe you need. Comfort in the shoes you wear is utmost priority and you should tske a note of ankle cushion when u wear trek shoes. Typically for easy treks I prefer sport shoes which have good grip For medium to diff trek I personally go for good wildcraft, quechua shoes which have proven trek capabilities. Safety comes first.

upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Book tickets from chennai to Delhi then book a bus ticket from Delhi ISBT to manikaran. Bus boarding point in Delhi is ISBT kashmiri gate and get down in kasol. Manikaran buses go through bhuntar and kasol only. Cost of living is like 300/day if you prefer tent and 350 to 400 if you take a room.
