My recommendation would be to avoid Maldives for now. Even I was planning my honeymoon to Maldives, this month. Actually got to know that Covid cases are on a rise there and there is only major hospital for Covid. So if you unfortunately gets infected you will get stuck there, till the the report gets negative and you have to incur the expensive costs of the resort for an extra period of time. So my recommendation would be go to any destination within India for the time being. Additionally it will also help the local tourism which has really took a hit since this pandemic started.
