The nearest railway station from mukteshwar is kathgodam and bus station is Haldwani.
from kathgodam/haldwani there are following ways to reach mukteshwar:
1. Private Cabs to mukteshwar.
2. Take a bus to bhowali. Get down at bhowali bus station and take a mini kmou bus heading towards mukteshwar.
P.S: There are only 4 or 5 mini buses a day at a specific time so reach before 3 pm. The last mini bus is at 4 or 5pm.
3. Reach nainital, rent a bike for the day or two(bajaj avenger is prefered for hilly roads of nainital district)and mukteshwar is around 50kms from there. It takes approx 1.5 to 2 hours.
4. Once you have reached mukteshwar, there is a govt rest house T.R.C and various resorts to choose from. The major point of attraction in mukteshwar is Chaula ki jali and mukteshwar temple. Temple gates are near the post office.
