Meghalaya would be the best
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Both Sikkim and Meghalaya are beautiful. You can visit any place in northeast in winter, everything there is mesmerizing. But if i have to choose between Meghalaya or Sikkim, i would go with Meghalaya.

Since on a college trip, you can visit Mukteshwar along with Shama in Uttrakhand. Mukteshwar is known for its adventurous activities like Rock Climbing and Rappling. you can have trekking experience while visiting Camp Shama near Namik glacier. if you want to have a feel of water activities, then do visit Ramganga beach camp on the way to Munsiyari. You can experience Body surfing, kayaking and slithering there. Birthi falls is nearby only from there.

Hi Sandeep, Have a good trip in Dharamshala and Mcleodganj! You can find a number of great stays there with impressive views. I have attached a few options below. Depending on your budget and other preferences, you can browse through the amazing hotels available in the region here: https://www.tripoto.com/hotels Hope this helps!

All the places are very well connected by the network of buses. If you have enough budget, you can take cab because that would provide you an excellent opportunity to visit places which are in between. Also the landscape at some of the places is beautiful and with the cab customization would be easy.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
I think you should book one cab and negotiate with them to take you through all of these places. If that fits into your budget because there are many temples and other places in between along with the landscape which I am sure you don't want to miss out.

Hi, March is not the ideal time to visit Maasai Mara. Since that is when monsoon occurs in the region, frequent thunderstorms take place that can make travelling difficult. Although the place comes alive due to the showers and is provides a beautiful sight to behold, very few travellers choose to plan a visit in March. It is recommended that you go through the itineraries and guides of fellow travellers who have been to Maasai Mara before you plan your own trip. Attaching a few below. Hope this helps!

During the winters, Spiti turns into a snowy wonderland. You can either embark on a simple snow expedition in Spiti or make things more challenging by embarking on a snow leopard expedition. If you are a good driver who loves travelling off-road, then Spiti can offer you the perfect challenge. You can take the route to Spiti via Kinnaur, as the roads there are known to be winding while offering spellbinding views of snow-clad mountains. Make sure to ask about the road conditions to locals, as the roads tend to get blocked due to snow. Kinnaur and Spiti witnesses harsh winters, so it's suggested that you should travel in a 4X4 SUV or other sturdier cars. In fact, there are plenty of tour operators taking tour groups for snow expedition in Spiti. That's another better option if you are not comfortable with driving car on your own on such routes.

Spiti transforms into a brilliant wonderland covered in powdery-white snow during winters each year. Sights like frozen lakes, waterfalls, and snow-covered mountains dotted with pugmarks of snow leopards are common. Visiting Spiti in winters is a once in a lifetime opportunity especially for travellers who love extreme winter adventures and enjoy activities like snow trekking, frozen waterfall climbing, and viewing the elusive snow leopard. The valley, due to the absence of crowds, is quiet and calm. During the winter months, Spiti can be approached only from the Shimla side. Since the place is almost landlocked due to heavy snow cover, be prepared for a tough trip physically as well as mentally. Duration of winter: Winters in Spiti extend for 5 months i.e. from October to February. Average Temperature: The average temperatures range between 0°C in the day to around -40°C in the night.
