You can take bus from Kashmere Gate ISBT Delhi, It will drop you to Dharamshala. Estimated time is about 12 hours, prefer taking bus in night it will save your time. If you want to go Mcleodganj you can hire can from the drop point it will cost 200 bucks. Must visit for Mcleodganj: Bhagsunath waterfall and Triund Trek. Almost all Himachal buses are available from Kashmere Gate ISBT. Happy travelling 👍

Dharamshala and Mcleodganj is a good place for weekend trips in himachal pradesh. In McLeodganj you must visit: bhagsu fall, triund trek, bhagsunath temple and market place. In dharamshala you must visit: dharamshala stadium, St. john in the wilderness church, Dalai lama monastery and kangra fort is also near by you can visit there too

Backpackers Inn is one of the budget friendly hotel in Mcleodganj, Dharamshala. from Mcleodganj bus stand it is less than 1 km.

Opt for bus from Delhi Kashmiri gate , it's an overnight bus which makes it convenient. I personally prefer to go to dharamkot which is 20 kms above the main hustle bustle of Mcleodganj. dharamkot is quite and peaceful and it has lots of cafe which serve Israeli food . Second : the accommodation here is cheap you can easily get a room for 500 which is easy on pocket. A relaxing trip would be around a week I would suggest where you can plan for triund trek for a day and stay there overnight. other attraction are bhagsu water fall ( don't miss the Shiva cafe which is above there ) has that mystic vibe .
