Hey Garima, My Airbnb experience has been fantastic so far. In fact, I ensure that I book an Airbnb over a hotel every time I go on a trip. What i love most about Airbnbs is the fact that they add a personal touch to your stay. Often hosted by locals, simply staying in an Airbnb offers you an insight into the local culture. This is something that you will never get in a hotel. Each Airbnb is unique and has tonne to offer -- whether it's spacious rooms, access to the entire house or a huge garden to yourself. At a much affordable price, you can enjoy the facilities of a five star hotel. Especially if I am travelling solo, I feel safer staying in an Airbnb. I am also a hygiene freak, and an Airbnb has not managed to disappoint me yet. I wrote an Airbnb experience , check it out: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/only-5-hours-away-from-delhi-is-a-stunning-villa-that-i-fell-in-love-with-5d651f1166777 hope this helps!

I had same Question but I booked an Airbnb in Goa. Trust me its really Beautiful Experience and In Budget. The Hosts are really Friendly. Also, you can save some for food and shopping so you can stay in Budget in Airbnb with Cozy, Chill and Relaxed Place. Its really Safe just Check the Reviews of people for Further Help.

My experience with Airbnb has been good one. I stayed twice in a homestay, once at Nainital and once at Goa. As per ur preference select the place in the city or in the outskirts.

Hi Garima Airbnb has been great so far. The places I traveled and used Airbnb are in Kasol, Manali, Kullu, Mcleodganj, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Mussoorie and the list goes on. As far as safety is concerned, it has not been an issue. You should definitely try. Regards Preeti

I have always preferred Airbnbs as they are cheaper and makes you feel like home. Just make sure you read all the reviews related to that property and read all conditions properly. A lot of hosts have certain rules and limitations. I have always felt safe and comfortable.

Hi, my experience with airbnb is okay okay. My first trip with airbnb was fabulous. It was in Sikkim. Venue was ditto as in pictures and host was also very nice. But in my later trips, things did not go well. In Bhopal, I booked the homestay via airbnb but when reached I found its OYO room. I was way too much disappointed and on top of that the host was pathetic and irritating. He keep pinging me on whatsapp to give rating as 5. Ultimately I had to block him. Next trip with airbnb was in Puri. The moment I booked the venue, host was very polite... but once we reach the city, We get to know the complete different side of the host. So we decided not to ruin our holidays and we booked another hotel at higher price. So from my experience I would say do not plan your holidays with airbnb if you are travelling with family or elders. Or just be ready for surprises...

I had the best and worst experience in Airbnb... So i would highly recommend it. Yes, its safe and more local. If you want to live like how the licals live in a city you're visiting, go AirBnB
