Port Blair is one of the most beautiful places . Nice choice. The best time to visit is mainly in October to December and from February to may. You should definitely try to visit these places : jolly bouy island , Ross island , wandoor beach , sippighat farm and yes there are many water sports activities are available like snorkelling , water diving and many more. you should definitely try these. There are mainly 2 ways to visit port Blair which are by air and by sea.
If you want to travel to the fullest then plan for 7 days. Below will be your itenary: a) DAY 1-
Reach Port Blair by noon and have lunch and take rest.
In the evening you can go to Corbyn Cove Beach and spend some time. From there you can go to 'Marina Park', Joggers park. And then come back and take rest. b) DAY 2-
Leave for Havelock Island. Try to get the tickets for Govt Ferry in advance. For govt ferry there is no option to book the tickets online. You need to get the tickets done offline by some agent in Portblair. Journey time from Port Blair to Havelock Island will take 2-2.5 hrs. There is a govt ferry early in the morning around 6am. Try to get your tickets done in that ferry. You will reach Havelock by 9AM and you will have full day in your hand. **In govt ferry you can go to deck and enjoy the view and your ride. **In private ferry though it will take less time more money and less fun & you need to sit on your seat and you cannot go to the deck. You can hire a vehicle for local sightseeing in advance. Don't miss Radha Nagar beach. Thats a beach where you will enjoy the most. Be safe and enjoy there. You can go for Scuba Diving. (cost-3500/person) c) DAY 3- Leave for Neil Island in Private ferry(Makruzz) which leaves Havelock Island at 11am. As govt ferry departs after 12pm and it will be hot in the deck. So better to experience the private ferry also. Reach Neil island by 12:30-1pm. You can hire a vehicle for local sightseeing in advance. d) DAY 4-
Book your tickets for Port blair in ferry after lunch time. You can checkout from hotel after breakfast. Visit Natural Bridge/Coral Bridge and from there directly go to ferry terminal. Reach Port Blair and take rest. e) DAY 5- Book your vehicle for Baratang Island in advance from port blair. You need to leave portblair very early in the morning (3-3:30AM) as there is a checkpost which opens at 5:30-6AM in the morning and you need to reach there by before that. Near the checkpost you can have some food- idli vada, tea, cake, biscuits. There are shops which opens at that time. You can see jarwa on the way if you are lucky. Please do not take photograph and keep the window closed on the way for your own safety. You will reach baratang island by 9AM & can visit limestone cave through mangrove forest on the way to limestone cave & after that you can go to parrot island. Checkpost for returning opens at 2-2:30PM and then at 4-4:30PM. So plan according. f) DAY 6- You can visit Mt Harriet, Chidiya Tapu, Ross Island, Cellular Jail. In the evening you can book your tickets for the show at Cellular Jail. g) DAY 7-
You should go to Jolly Buoy Island. That's a beautiful island and you trip will be incompldte without visiting this island. You need to leave by 6AM from port blair to board the boat which will take you to the island. You are not allowed to carry polythene or water bottle to this island. You need to take the water bottles on rent from the counter. Rent is very cheap. Thd beach is very clean and you will be astonished to see the coral life there through the glass boat. In the evening you could book your tickets to watch the evening show at ross island or you can go for shopping . h) DAY 8- Its time to say good bye to Port blair. You can book your flight ticket for 8th day or you could stay there on 8th day and cover if something is missed. Minimum 7 day is required for Andaman. **Please carry your ID cards along with you every where.
