I have written many blogs/articles about solo travel based on my experience. You may check them out here - http://lifebeyondusual.com/category/travel/solo-travel/ Ideal solo travel destination in my opinion is very subjective, depending upon personal preference and liking. So choose a place where you always wanted to go. One can go almost all the places solo these days. However, it is better to choose a place/destination that is popular and touristy for first solo trip because everything is easily available there. One doesn't have to struggle for basics and with so many options and people around, one doesn't feel lonely at all. Later, after some solo travel experience, you can choose off-beat destinations. Hope this helps
Hi,
The United Kingdom is the best country for solo travelers.
Leicestershire (England): In 2012, the body of King Richard III was discovered in the county of Leicestershire.

After being killed at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485, the infamous fifteenth-century king was buried in an unmarked grave. If you're a history buff, Leicester is full of Richard III-related sites, from the battleground where he was killed to Leicester Cathedral, where he is buried. Leicester has excellent museums, and the landscape is dotted with majestic homes and charming tiny villages with thatched cottages.
Melton Mowbray
Melton Mowbray is home to two well-known English specialties. The pork pie, which is made of diced, seasoned, uncured pork wrapped in dough, is served first. This portable snack is meant to be consumed cold and was popularized in the United States by foxhunters in the nineteenth century. The market town is also one of the few places in the world where blue stilton can be made, a potent, crumbly cheese that pairs well with port during the holiday season.
