Avoid mountains in Monsoon.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
You can visit Pune in August. In ur 2-3 days u can visit, Lonavala, Tamhini ghat, And Picturesque Lavasa city. There are 4-5 dams around Pune, khadakwasla, Mulshi etc. which are scenic. And also Mahabaleshwar is worth visiting in monsoon.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Yes, it is.. Monsoon season it is... I'm too looking for the journey
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Before heading out, please do check the weather & road service report. Monsoon is a beautiful season to travel to VOF but it also comes with its own limitations. Check if the amount of rainfall is suitable or not and if there are any landslides on the way or not. You really don't want to ruin your experience by getting stuck on the way!
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
That truly depends how you want to explore this beautiful but vast place, i.e on a bike, or SUV, or by local buses. Cheapest way is by bus, but they dont take you to all the places. If you are confident and experienced enough, try to explore on bike, its the best way. Join any such groups, which organised such tours and provide you almost everything from bike to gear to fuel to backup truck and cost around 20-35k. The last way is to hire a cab with a local driver who will also be your guide there. Its the most easiest, comfortable however boring way to explore the place. I said boring because, for some, at some point of just sitting in a car for long hours. Go through this website vargiskhan.com you will get all detailed info about ladhak here.

upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Solo is a task so try going in group because its a long tour, and you need group with you as vehicles also unexpected on this route, take torch, rope, medical kit, extra oil for vehicle, and rain coat for sure..enjoy your tour

There's Auli and Chopta in Uttarakhand . Jalori pass, Shimla, Khajjiar, Triund, Kufri, in Himachal.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Safe option in Himachal will be manali only but chances of getting snow in december is bit less... Getting to lahaual spiti will be bit risky In Uttarakhand, auli, chopta will be good destination. You may find snow there.
