Hi Arti,
Preparations for the Puri Rath Yatra start about four to months prior to the actual festival. Since the artisans are almost at the finalising stage of making the raths by July, you will only be able to see the raths being decorated. The entire process of making and decorating the process happens right outside the Jagannath Temple so head there to catch all the action.
Hope you have a great trip! :)
Hey Abhishek,
That sounds like a great plan and one for the bucket list! Since watching Real Madrid makes for the core purpose of your trip, it is best advisable to catch a direct flight from India to Madrid. In addition to watching the game, you can also visit other tourist attractions in Madrid which include Royal Palace of Madrid, Reina Sofia Museum, Plaza Mayor and Almudena Cathedral amongst others. You can also catch a traditional Spanish bullfight at Las Ventas, shop at San Miguel market and enjoy Madrid's crazy nightlife. After exploring Madrid, you can then plan to head to other cities in Spain which are guaranteed to offer you a plethora of experiences. Here is an itinerary that might help you in doing just that: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/a-6-day-spain-itinerary-to-experience-the-best-of-the-country-in-under-50-000-5a954eac66c72

EllBee ganga view Located just before the city starts, this hotel has a really great picturesque view which is straight out of a poster. The staff tends to your needs and fancies to the best. They have a wheelchair friendly room and a ramp in the front entrance as well making it absolutely wheelchair friendly. Its a huge thing since many wheelchair users dont find this thoughtfulness in building construction everywhere. The staff was very kind to have guided us to places which were good to visit and also take foreign nationality guests themself to avoid any kind of trouble. Very thoughtful and very helpful. They also supersede expectations many times through the stay. Must go place.
Hi Venkatarajan, Shimoga and Jog Falls makes for an excellent weekend trip. You can either take an overnight train from Bangalore to Shimoga or hire a self-drive vehicle and embark on an epic road trip. After reaching Shimoga, head to the mighty Jog Falls. After Jog Falls, visit the scenic hamlet of Honnemaradu located on the shores of Golden Lake. On the second day you can visit the Sakrebyle Elephant Camp and Gajanur Dam before heading back to Bangalore.
Hi Tushar, are you travelling to Gangtok via Darjeeling? These are the must-visit places in Darjeeling: Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop, Darjeeling Zoo and the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. You can also opt to ride the Toy Train and Darjeeling Ropeway. If you want to learn about Bengal history then visit the Bengal Natural History Museum.
Hi Gopal, campsites, restaurants and lodges have been kicked out of Kheerganga since they were illegally built on forest land and caused a lot of havoc to the environment. The trek to Kheerganga is still open though. You have two options, either you carry your own tent or stay at one of the villages at the base of the trek. If you do plan to pitch your own trek then you'll require a permit from the forest department and you must bring your trash back. If you stay at a village at the base then start early so you can reach Kheerganga top and return the same day. Also keep an eye on the news for any updates.
Hi Jayashree, that is an excellent road trip to explore some least-visited parts of Sikkim. Your route is perfect for this road-trip. I highly recommend you visit Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and do the Hilley Uttarey Trek to get views of four of the five highest mountains in the world. It is an easy trek with beautiful scenery.
Following cities have some of the best 4th of July fireworks: New York City, Washington DC, San Diego, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Addison (Texas) and Nashville.
You can check trektrails - https://trektrails.in/. Had taken a backpacking trip with them to Manali, Himachal Pradesh and the experience was amazing. All you have to do is check out the upcoming treks on their website or facebook page and enroll for the ones you want to undertake. They take individuals who want to go for solo trek as well as people in groups.
It's better to start a new blog for your adventures...There is more chance of getting sponsorship if your blog is impressive and popular..There are couples who got sponsorship by writing blogs..Happy journey
