Hi Umair Munawar
You can start with thinking of a landform you wanna experience .It can be Beaches, Mountains, Tropical Forest(Jungle Safari). And then choose a way to reach there by flight if too far or by Railways. Then make a budget which mainly include food, shelter and transit cost. It's almost done you're ready for a trip.

You can visit Swami Narayan Temple at Joka, RBI museum. Also you can visit some of the heritage buildings in Kolkata. If you have time, you can plan for a day trip to Mondwarika Eco-Resort, the first tyre house in India. You will get idea about this place in my Tripoto profile.
Go for Udaipur/ Jaipur in Rajasthan if you are looking for heritage..
Go for Daman and Diu, if you are looking for beaches
Go for chopta, if you are looking for mountain trekking
Hey!
In general it would be safe but the last one month has seen quiet a bit of landslides and monsoon related issues in the state. Do check with the locals before your travel.
Happy traveling :)
Hey!
The best season for visiting Yumthang Valley, Lachung and Zero Point Sikkim starts in late February and continues up to mid-June. That’s the time when thousands of colorful flowers are found blooming, spreading fresh vibes and you can witness the real natural beauty of the place. Rhododendrons also in their full bloom and you would witness beautiful views of the mountain ranges, September – December months would be ideal.
However do check routes and other covide protocols before visitng.
Happy traveling :)
