Thursday Evening ( Around 5 pm)

Me: Bro, I just want to get away from this bangalore traffic, just want to ride free man! Tired of so much work as well. Suggest some thing.

Vaibhav: We will ride to Shivasamudra and BR Hills, charge your GoPro and get the bike ready

Me: Saturday morning, with all our friends, we won't even ask. They all will be in.

This is all it takes to make exceptional memories. We had heard a lot about BR hills but thought of it as another common touristy place.

We were surprised to realize that it is quite the opposite - Peaceful, serene and not that commercialized.

BR hills is certainly an underrated place in my opinion.

After soaking in the view, we decided to take a detour as one of our friends knew about a place he had read in a book, called Talakadu.

Their is a famous curse of talakadu which he remembered and it was inspiration good enough to leave for the place.

Quite near to Shivasamudram, it is a relegious site with temples covered with sand dunes.

After spending some time near Kaveri riverfront, we went to Mysore for dinner and rest.

Early next morning, we left for Biligirirangana Hills, commonly called BR Hills.

It is a hill range situated in south-eastern Karnataka, at its border with Tamil Nadu (Erode District) in South India.

The area is called Biligiriranganatha Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary.

It is a protected reserve under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. BR Hills has an elephant camp as well, the road to that camp is just divine.

On our way to the elephant camp. You have to see these roads to believe me. Such godly roads. Although we didn't go to the elephant camp, but still the ride here, made our day ( maybe weeks )

We started from Bangalore on 3 bikes - RE Classic 350, Dominar 400 and Yamaha FZs153 and covered almost 600 Kms in 2 days.

Our first stop was Shivasamudram falls, where we could see the falls in full glory as we reached there after heavy rains of the season.

Shivanasamudra is situated on the banks of the river Kaveri and is the location of one of the first hydro-electric power stations in Asia, which was set up in 1902.

Place with some interesting history. We saw the falls from Gaggachukki and Barachukki points. Both present amazing views.

It was fun riding these amazing bikes on some superb roads. Thanks to my fellow riders who were amazing, and coordinated so well with each other.

All our bikes- Bajaj Dominar 400, RE Classic 350 and Yamaha FZs153 were truly fabulous.

I really enjoyed the handling of all these bikes. But my favorite for the curves was Dominar 400 which performed really well in short curved stretches.

The RE Classic was most enjoyable on the straight highways, where i could feel the powerful engine roaring, and without a drag we were on speeds of 100.

Cheers to long rides and lovely roads!!
