Nothing can beat this destination in monsoon. (KAUSANI - Switzerland of India)

Although, monsoon season is off season in hilly areas, but I dared to do this adventure just to experience the natural beauty..... I have never seen in my whole life. Some points and research areas which were in my mind before started the journey towards kausani was :

1- Mt. Trishul and Himalayan range (During monsoon its invisible)

2- Most beautiful route in uttrakhand from Almora to Kausani.

3- Peace and only peace, just sit and experience the birds chirping in front of Himalayan range.

4- Pinnath Trek. (Kumaon highest non-Himalayan peak)

5- Anasakti Ashram (Mahatma Gandhi Stayed for 14 days and during the visit he named this place "Switzerland of India".

6-Tea gardens look alike in Munnar (Kerala) and Darjeeling (West Bengal).

But, unfortunately I could not experience the first and fourth places during the visit hence I have added them in my bucket list for future visit. One thing you need to keep in your mind in monsoon that you will have to face many difficulties during travelling and exploring the high elevated areas but, the beauty, rivers, farming, greenery, views of step farming, waterfalls, etc that you will experience is out of the world which can not be expressed here. You must visit to experience the fun and love for nature.

Before the travel started I saw news of flood like situation with landslides in Chamoli a district 150 km above Kausani. My family got a bit worried and asked me check for the exact situation , then I called my friends who are residents of the same place. But I made sure to visit as it was already planned.

Route I followed -

Noida > Moradabad > Rampur > Kaladhungi > Nainital > Bhowali > Bhimtal > Kainchi Dham > Almora > Someshwar > Kausani (410 KM)

Time duration - 9 hours (The mesmerizing views of Almora will make you extend the journey to take the pics of the scenic beauty and most of all feel the aura of the natural vibes around.)

Weather - August (Maximum - 20 degree, minimum - 10 degree)

Resort - Himalaya Darshan Resort, Kausani.

Places covered -

1- Sumitranandan Pant gallery (Kausani is the birthplace of great poet Sumitranandan Pant Ji.)

2- Tea Garden.

3- Kot Brahmari Temple (Stunning location with 360 degree view in Bageshwar district - 11 KM from Kausani)

4- Baijnath Temple (located near the bank of Gomti river)

5- Famous Shawl Factory

6- Rudhradhari Caves and Waterfall trek.

6- Last but not the least, Sit and relax in our cottage which has its own feeling to enjoy the nature between the jungle. (Best part during the visit).
