How to visit Puducherry from Bangalore with best route to take for Roadtrip.
Day 1
We started early morning weekend trio to visit Pondicherry, since we were travelling just after unlock down we were not sure about an epass or according to new rule it wasn't mandatory. And we smoothly crossed Karnataka and Tamil Nadu border. We took the road which was suggested by google and that was a big mistake. Distance is less but the road condition is not good enough and it will give you a smooth road trip experience. Best route to take I have mentioned in later part of this blog.
If you want to book a cheap stay near beach go for Serenity beach and you will get some cheap and best stay. We stayed in a Pacific Hut Hotel which next to beach. It was decent hotel and staff was helpful and most important we got some amazing deal on stay. Talk to the owner and get some discount.
Though all most of the attractions were closed but all the beaches were open to visit. On first day we gave visit to Serenity Beach, Golden Globe(which was closed) and Rock Beach and ended our day with some ready to eat meal which we got with us. MTR ready to eat food is very convenient to and how we did it, please look into the video.
Day 2:
On day 2 we wokeup early to witness an amazing sun rise on Paradise beach, its a beach where you can take a dip in ocean and the beach is super clean. There are two ways to visit by road or by boat, since boats were not operating and were early in the morning so took road.
It was very less crowded and had an amazing view but we were not see sunrise due to cloudy weather but best part was entire time sun was not so harsh and we did enjoy time on beach with some amazing drone shots.
Before leaving from Pondicherry, do visit French Baker Street bakery and try something for your taste buds.
Even if all the major attracts were closed but there were so much for us in this trip and while coming back don't take default suggested route by google please follow the below route for better experience.
Puducherry to Bangalore :-
Pondicherry → Tindivanam → Arcot → Vellore → Ambur → Hosur → Bangalore
Bangalore to Puducherry :-
Bangalore → Hosur → Ambur → Vellore → Arcot → Tindivanam → Pondicherry
