Amid the nationwide lock-down, nature is bringing up new wonders for our eyes everyday. Now, for the first time ever in more than three decades, snow-capped peaks of Bandarpunch and Gangotri in the inner Himalayas is now visible from Saharanpur in UP. The AQI which generally remains well above 50 in India, dipped below 50 in Saharanpur making it possible for people to witness the rare sight of the Himalayas. The aerial distance between Saharanpur and the peaks is over 200 km and the clear glimpse of the peaks is truly captivating.
Photographs of the Himalayan range from Saharanpur were captured by an Income Tax inspector, Dushyant Kumar, and his wife Nidhi Saini, from their residence. They were shared on Twitter by Indian Forest Service officer Ramesh Pandey and soon the tweet went viral.
While the world is under lock down to fight against Coronavirus there is no doubt that nature has got time to heal itself, and that too at a rapid speed. Earlier, people in Jalandhar were able to see the Dhauladhar range from over 200 km and Pin Pranjal become clearer than ever from Srinagar.
