When you are in Madikeri (Coorg) Talakaveri is a place you must visit. It is located at a distance of approx 44 km from the town of Madikeri and is a popular tourist destination.
Located in the Brahmagiri hills in Karnataka, it is considered as a holy place by the people of Hindu religion as it is considered as the origin of the river Kaveri. It is also located closely to Kasaragod a town in the state of Kerala.
A small temple with a small 'Kunda' has been built on the hill and this place is often visited by pilgrims throughout the year.
