I wanted to have my favourite Gazpacho Soup and hot flaky croissant, where else could I go for my perfect treat? Le Café, a charming space  nestled within Le Gourmet at The Chanakya, New Delhi, brings the best of French bakery flavours to the city. Launched by L’Opéra - the brand which pioneered the authentic French bakery and patisserie in India,  the new cafe beckons travelers and locals to slow down, savour, and immerse themselves in an elevated French dining experience.

For me, I would say it's my beloved spot for fresh, comforting and authentic food. Be it, hand rolled pastas or artisanal pizzas or DIY salad bar, here live Kitchen and various live counters promise a culinary experience like no other.

  During the day, Le Cafe buzzes with food connoisseurs enjoying a variety of patisserie specialities. In the evening, the focus is more towards fine dining where the chefs are busy rustling up exclusive dishes.

As expected from the brand culinary voyage, it is a sophisticated blend of comfort and innovation, think truffle-laced cappellacci, delicate risottos, wholesome barley and avocado salads.

The location is ideal. Whether you’re shopping for the finest cheeses and charcuterie or pausing for a quick pastry break, here you can look for  lingering sit-downs over coffee and eats or simply quick takeaways.

From the scent of freshly baked baguettes to the rustle of flaky croissants, the café was envisioned as a pause in the day, a sensory escape where French finesse becomes an effortless ritual.

From hearty breakfasts and classic French soups to curated desserts and hand-rolled pastas, the diners can feast on exclusively curated dishes. As I indulged this evening, I was happy to realize how each dish is crafted to offer both surprise and comfort in equal measure.
My meal started with Flavoursome Gazpacho Soup and crispy hot avocado toast. I loved the generous addition of mozzarella cheese in the soup which enhanced the taste so beautifully. The team recommended Cappellacci Pasta - stuffed with mushroom and cream cheese presented on the bed of mixed sauce. It was just perfect for my taste.
How we could have missed Pizza as the Pizza oven looks so impressive. We opted for Three Cheese Pizza and it was equally satisfying.
The meal was all about enjoying classic dishes with a unique  L'Opera twist.
