Itinerary
Day 1
- Day 01: GUWAHATI – NAMERI NATIONAL PARK
- After on arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, assistance and warm traditional welcome by our representative visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10kms) – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Pethas in the country, and drive to Nameri (250kms/6 hrs drive approx). Nameri is the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh is a place of enthralling scenic beauty. The sparkling river Jia Bharali which passes through Bhalukpong is an adventure lover’s paradise. By the side of the river is the Nameri National Park which falls under Project Tiger. Overnight will be at Nameri.
Day 2
- Day 02: NAMERI – DIRANG
- At morning transfer to Dirang (200km 7hrs). En-route visit Tipi Orchidarium, a glass house with over 7500 Orchids. Overnight stay in Hotel in Dirang.
Day 3
- Day 03: DIRANG - TAWANG
- At morning after breakfast visit proceed towards the Sela Pass (13703 ft) for Tawang spend some lovely times by the paradise lake. Reaching Tawang (143 km, 7hrs) check in at Hotel Overnight at Tawang.
Day 4
- Day 04: TAWANG
- Today after breakfast full day excursion to Maduri lake, Bumla Pass and China Border, & The Tawang Gompa is definitely the high point of the town, with a commanding view of the splendid valleys beyond with a commanding view of the splendid valleys beyond. Also visit the War memorial. Evening free for shopping and leisure. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 5
- Day 05: TAWANG - BOMDILA
- Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breath taking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jashwant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial and down hill drive (185km, 7hrs) to Bomdila. Overnight at Hotel at Bomdila.
Day 6
- Day 06: BOMDILA – GUWAHATI
- Today morning After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive for Guwahati . Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 7
- Day 07: GUWAHAT - CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG
- Morning after breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee which is famed for being the wettest place in the world. After a drive of 4 ½ hours amid pine trees and mists we reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. In Cherrapunji, we visit the Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sisier falls,Mawsmai Caves,Rama Krishna Mission, Eco Park and the Thangkharang Park .Later back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 8
- Day 08: SHILLONG - GUWAHATI AIRPORT DROPPING
- After breakfast Check out from the hotel and and then transfer to Guwahati Airport drop for the onward journey. . En route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umium Lake.
