Bhavnagar Tourism and Travel Guide

This old town came into existence in 1723 AD under the rule or Bhavsinghi Gohil and so the name Bhavnagar. Situated close to the Khambat Gulf, Bhavnagar happens to be the 5th largest of all the cities in the state of Gujarat. The town is home to some old temples and as a matter of fact around 863 of them dot the area thus making it a famous tourist spot. If you do decide to pay this place a visit, then do so during the celebrations of Mahashivratri, one of its main festivals. A visit to the Takhteshwar Temple should also be on your ‘to visit’ list.
