Waterfall No. 2- Bhivpuri Waterfalls, MaharashtraThis falls is really dear to me because I did an adventure sport here. Instead of going to the base of the falls we decided to go to the top of this fall and rappel our way down. One of the most challenging adventure as the force of the water on you is tooo high and you have no idea where you are stepping. Only if you go with trained professionals you can do this. The trek to this place is fairly simple. You can go by local train itself, get down at Bhivpuri road and start the trek from the station itself. There is a natural pool on the top of the falls too to have a swim and chill for a bit. Then you get your safety instructions and gear. The start of the rappelling is really difficult but as you go down you get a hang of it. Its truly one of a kind experienceHow To Reach- Take a Karjat local early in the morning and get down at Bhivpuri road. There is a small cafe on the station where you can have your breakfast. Start the trek from here itself to Bhivpuri falls. Its almost 2 hour trek How Much time- Its a Half day trek only so you can go it the morning and be free by 2 pm. Make sure you go in the months after july only till September as this is a monsoon waterfall onlyWhat to do- Its a complete jungle trek so no place to stay or refresh. You need to carry your food and enjoy it besides the falls. You can carry your tent too and camp but its not recommended. PS: That person in blue is me only
After a hell lot of planning and discussions finally we all decided to trek towards Garbett Point via Garbett plateau. The trek started at 12 am from Bhivpuri Station, quite thrilling we made our way towards the base village.
Bhivpuri is a town in karjat and its 2 hours and 20 min from Pune.We took train from Secunderabad to Karjat, from there we traveled in MMTS local train to reach Bhivpuri; its just 5 minutes from Karjat station and MMTS available in every 20 min.
