Garden of Five Senses

A joint effort of the Delhi Tourism and the Transport department to gift to the citizens a place to detoxify them has resulted into this awesome place. Located in the Said- ul- Azaib Village and Invoking the theme of camouflaging the 5 body senses into one, the park lets us understand how we respond to the beauty of nature. The park was inaugurated in 2003 and has since become a favorite destination of many. The main attractions are the naturally designed rocks placed in a silhouetted manner to mesmerize visitors even more. The stainless steel birds birched on slate slabs are another remarkable attraction here. The grass- cut statue of The Buddha brings a feeling of sanctity to the whole environment. The main aim was to provide the busy people a getaway form the city- blues as it also proves as a development to the city. There are a number of colorful plants and herbs inside the garden which give out a wonderful fragrance attracting all those who are inside the park. One of the gardens known as the Khans Bagh which is inspired from the Mughal lines of gardens.

A few days later, when we were bored of work one evening, we decided to visit another place on our list. The Garden of Five Senses. It is not just another garden, it is designed to serve as a treat to your senses. There are various architectural features within the park. They add to the already present green beauty. A pond of water lilies and Khas Bagh are some of the various other features of the garden.Having visited during the peak summer season, I couldn't really see many flowers. But I have heard that the garden turns into a paradise during the spring season when nature blooms with all its beauty.

9. Garden of Five Senses - This garden is a well maintained garden with great collection of ornamental flowering plants all around. Seasonal flowers make the place worth visiting. It has been reported that at this place some couples are involved in Public Display of Affection. So avoid the place if you wish to avoid any such instances. Nearest Metro Station - Saket Metro.Note: It is advisable to visit the locations early morning, or on weekdays if possible. Weekends attract a lot of visitors and it makes the places over crowded and you may not like it. Moreover early morning may give that soothing air and a great weather for the perfect shot.
4. Garden of Five Senses, Saket: This was another unusual place I visited while searching for a spot to unite with nature. The garden is a riot of colours and guaranteed to appeal to all your five senses(for taste there are restaurants around). The peculiar sculptures and structures all around the park will definitely arouse your curiousity

Garden of Five Senses is an arts lover delight as it's an open exhibition area to display art. It's not just a garden but a garden to realize the concept of public leisure space to awaken a sensory response.
