Overview

Coorg and Ooty are the famous hill stations which every nature lover would like to visit moreover, Mysore, the capital city of the Wodeyars has always enchanted its admirers with its quaint charm, rich heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out gardens, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues and sacred temples. There's an old world charm about the city that reaches out and touches everyone.

Itinerary
  • On arrival to Mangalore airport then proceed to Coorg ;-
  • Coorg is one of India’s famous travel destination and has been called the Scotland of India by the British and also called as the Kashmir of South India. on Arrival Check In in to the hotel and Relax or Can Visit Raja Seat if Time Permits
  • Evening visit Raja’s Seat or the Seat of the King is a famous sunset point in Madikeri. It was once the platform from which the kings of Kodagu used to enjoy glorious sunsets. The spot got its name as it was the favourite recreational place for the kings. Raja’s seat stands inside a splendid garden of seasonal flowers and musical fountains. The garden becomes a colourful sight when the flowering plants are in full bloom.
  • Sri Omkareshwara Temple, built in 1741 by the King Lingarajendra II, for exculpation against Brahma Hatya.
  • Day Start with Breakfast drive to visit visit Abbey falls-Tucked away between private coffee and spice estate,
  • Madikeri Fort - The 19th century Madikeri fort with its stone ramparts now houses the prison,
  • Omkareshwara Temple - Built in 1820 and featuring
  • Raja Seat- is an enchanting picnic spot with a swathing in the natures lap. Return to hotel and overnight stay at Coorg.
  • Coorg To Ooty via Bandipur National park ;
  • After breakfast check out and proceed to Ooty, "The Queen of Hill Stations'', mixes up Indian bustle and Hindu temples with lovely parks and gardens and charming Raj-era bungalows.

  • Upon arrival check in at hotel.
  • Later proceed for sightseeing by covering the Botanical Garden hub for nature lovers. Ooty Botanical Garden are divided into six areas, which includes the Lower Garden, New Garden, Italian Garden, Conservatory, Fountain Terrace and Nurseries. A riot of colours await you at the widely spreading flower beds that are an intrinsic part of Ooty Botanical Gardens. It also hosts an exhibition of rare plant species in May every year. It is also a popular haunt of the tourist, and offers a variety of trees, shrubs and flowers. People come here to lounge in the lawns and walk among the shady trees and plants. One of the oldest botanical gardens in the country, it began life in the 1840s as a vegetable garden to supply veggies to Ooty’s residents. Trees and plants from all over the world were brought here over the years.
  • Ooty Lake where can go for boat riding for both pedal and motor boats. Adjacent to the lake there are a lot of activities such as Toy train ride, 3-D shows, Tora-tora ride & also ponnies are available for rides.
  • Centenary Rose Garden is laid on 10 acres of land. This garden has been beautifully laid out in terraces with rose tunnels, pergolas and bowers with rose creepers. Today this garden has the largest collections of roses in the country, around 3600 varieties of roses like Hybrid Tea Roses, miniature rose, Floribunda, Ramblers, roses of unusual colors like black, green and many more varieties of roses that will captivate your senses.

  • Full Day Sightseeing Of Ooty & Coonoor-Toy Train ;

  • Visit Sim's Park - Located at a height of 1780 meters, Sim’s Park is a botanical garden which was established in 1874. It has more than 1000 species of flora including Queensland Karry Pine, Rudraksha (the bead tree) and Ornamental tree making it a place worth visiting. Enjoy long peaceful walks through the lush greenery and colourful, vibrant flowers, boating & photography.
  • Lamb's Rock - Located on the way to Dolphin’s Nose in Ooty, Lamb’s Rock is laos called as Echo Rock. A popular picnic spot, it offers an admirable view of Coimbatore Plains and surrounding lush greenery. Route to this place offers trekking opportunities too.
  • Dolphin’s Nose - Located 10 km at a distance from Coonoor, Dolphin’s Nose is a peak offering enchanting view of the Nilgiri Hills and the Catherine Falls. The peak of the hills resembles a nose of a dolphin hence the name.
  • Botanical Garden - a vast expanse of lawn like a golf course, going steeply uphill with variety of trees and shrubs as well as some conservatories with exotic ferns and flowering plants. Highlight of this park is the fossilized tree belonging to the pre-historic era, kept as natural exhibit. According to carbon dating findings, it is about 20 million-year-old.
  • Rose Garden- the largest rose garden in India which displays more than 20,000 varieties of roses collected from different parts of the world. Unusual colors of black and green roses are also found. Get a spectacular view of the entire Ooty from Rose Garden.
  • Ooty Lake -In the evening proceed to visit an artificial Lake, one of the famous tourist spots in Ooty. Enjoy boating, cycling, photography, mini toy train ride etc (on direct payment basis). Indulge in shopping around Ooty lake for chocolates, shawls, eucalyptus oil etc. Later proceed to hotel and relax . Overnight stay at Ooty hotel.
  • Ooty - Mysore & Mysore Sight Seen :
  • Morning, after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Mysore.
  • Enroute visit Pykara lake, pykara waterfall, 9th mile, 6th mile, pine forest.
  • on arrival check into the hotel and visit Visit the famous Mysore Palace (or Maharaja's Palace). Entry to the palace is through "Gombe Thotti" or Doll's Pavillion with traditional dolls of different times displayed and a wooden elephant decorated with gold.
  • Visit the famous Chamundi Hills, 3489ft above the sea levels and highest peak of Mysore housing the Chamundeshwari Temple,
  • Visit Big Bull - about 16 feet in height and 24 feet long, this Nandi atop the Chamundi Hills is the third largest in India, carved in granite, black because of regular anointing with oil and other sacred waters.
  • Visit St. Philomena’s Church - The twin towers of the church stand majestically at 175 feet, the design resembles St. Patrick’s cathedral at New York and Cologne Cathedral.
  • Jaganmohan Palace - an art gallery built during rule of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in 1861 displays largest collections of artifacts in South India.
  • Krishna Raja Sagara Dam - built over the River Cauvery near to the conjunction of three rivers namely, Cauvery, Hemavathi & Lakshmana Thirtha.
  • Brindavan Gardens - known for its symmetric design and illuminated terrace gardens. The main attraction at the Brindavan Gardens is the beautiful array of musical fountains. Coupled with laser lights, these fountains are synchronised to music and go live at the time when the garden is lit up.
  • Mysore is also an ideal shopping destination. Explore shopping at the local market. Take home Mysore silk saris, Mysore sandalwood artefacts & handicrafts, incense sticks, coffee, wooden toys and traditional Mysore paintings called Ganjifa paintings. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Mysore hotel.
  • After breakfast check out from the hotel, day free for leisure/ Shopping and Own Activities, then after proceed towards Coimbtore/ Manglore / Banglore Airport / Railway station for your onward journey. Tour Ends & Memories Begin!
