The Tajpur beach is an en route to famous beaches of Digha and Mandarmani.

In one side Digha and Mandarmani is attracted by tourists from all over India for which it is crowded and packed , on the other hand Tajpur is less known and explored and so less crowded. It is more calm and serene in terms of peace.

Best time to Visit:- The best months to visit this place is between October to February when the climate is pleasant and the temperature is favourable. The distance from Kolkata to Tajpur is approx 174.0 KMs which will take 3.5-4 hrs to reach the destination.

As the temperatures start soaring during the day, causing a bit of unrest during the travel, it's always better to start early so that you can reach the destination timely and explore the calmness of the place cooled off by the pleasant breezes.

How to go:-

1. Bus -You can book the buses from redbus or make my trip. While selecting the dropoff location you won't be having Balisai as an option. So, the best nearby option to choose is Digha. You can Converse with the bus staff for dropping you off at Balisai as it will be nearest and convinent for reaching your spot.

A fact to consider here is to avoid choosing the bus SHYAMOLI PARIBAHAN as they won't allow a mid-way stoppage or dropoff as per their policies.

All the buses enroute these beaches have a breakfast stopover at Kolaghat where you can grab a quick bite and refresh yourself.

After getting down in Balisai you will get auto's to reach your hotel.

2. Train - The nearest railway station is the Digha railway station which is 20 kms from Tajpur. Trains journeys are fun as far as the comfort of travel is involved as it helps you avoid the motion tiredness. You can hire autos form Digha Railway station to the beach.

3. Car- Car journeys give you edge of flexibility of travel and act as through carriers from start to stop destination. Also the luggage carrying problem from one place to other is avoided.

So it all depends on the pros and cons you want to consider for your journey.

Where to stay- Tajpur has number of hotels from budget friendly to luxury.

I would recommend you to book a hotel which is near the beach so that a small walk of togetherness with the love ones, lands you straight to the beach where you can explore and enjoy those special moments and create memories to last for lifetime.

Biswa Bangla park:- The Beach has a landmark place named Biswa Bangla park which has some special seating arrangements to enjoy.

SHACKS :- The shacks located on the beach offer variety of food including live crabs/ fishes/ chickens which are freshly cooked as you order so that you can enjoy the freshness of it with each bite and satisfy your taste buds.

They have shops for you to buy some amazing sea shell showpieces , ornaments etc.

The artistic stairs made to get down the beach where you can sit in the evening and enjoy the cool breeze , hear the sound of water waves and watch the hues of the sky as the sun sets.

Also, some distant shacks with special lighting arrangement and night life gives you vibes of Goa and makes you dance to the groove.
