Unlike other places in the Nilgiris, Kotagiri is least commercialized. Of course there some tourist spots where the usual crowd go, but I suggest you take off-roads where you will find the most of Kotagiri.

Most of the waterfalls in India are swamped by tourists. The filth & dirt around the waterfall makes it a less fascinating attraction. However, Catherine falls around Kotagiri is lesser known and hence, intact in its purest form.
Kotagiri would be an ideal choice for people who wish to stay away from urban hustle-bustle and pollution.
