Overview
Chadar trek takes you into some of the most isolated yet inhabited regions in the Zanskar mountains, most notably the village of Lingshed. It connects villages in the Zanskar valley with Chilling along the frozen River of Zanskar. From Chilling Sumdo, the trek moves through valleys, ice-peaks and unexpected hanging icicles. Nights are spent in caves amidst bonfires. The trek commences from the village of Chiling located not far from the confluence of Indus and the Zanskar River. The trek follows the river gorge through a spectacular landscape, a photographer’s paradise, offering occasional sighting of wildlife. Although pleasant on clear, sunny days, the weather conditions can change abruptly, with wind temperatures known to plummet minus 20 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival at Leh
Day 02: Leh to Chiling to Tilat Sumdo (3200m) 4 hrs drive (Taxi/Bus)
Day 03: Trek Tilat Sumdo to Gyalpo (3300m) 5-6 hrs.
Day 04: Gyalo to Tibb Cave (3300m) 4-5 hrs
Day 05: Tibb Cave to Nyerak (3400m) 5-6 hrs.
Day 6: Nyerak to Tibb Cave (3300m) 4-5hrs
Day 07: Tibb Cave to Gyalpo (3300m) (3-4hrs)
Day 08: Tibb Cave to Tilat do to Chilling to Leh
Day 09: Departure
Inclusions
1-All transportation by Xylo / Tempo / Bus.
2-All accommodation on Twin Sharing basis with all meals during trek & Breakfast & Dinner in Leh only.
3- Vehicle Transfer for Shopping and sightseeing on Day 1 and Day 8th of Stay in leh.

5-Any Kind of Drinks (Alcoholic, Mineral, Aerated)
6-Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/ stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control.
7-Any Air Fare/ Bus Fare/Train Fare to and fro from Leh.
8-Chadar trek fees @ Rs. 2,500/- for foreigners and Rs. 2,000/- for Indians.This was not taken last year. If taken this year, the clients will have to bear the fees.
