The wait for getting the vaccine shot is over for all above 18 years of age.
The Government of India has allowed all above 18 years of age to register from April 28 for the vaccine shot against Covid-19 on the government’s Co-WIN portal or the Aarogya Setu app, as until now, only people above 45 years of age were eligible to take the vaccination.
The Government of India took to its microblogging site Twitter (MyGovIndia) to officially announce that the phase 3 of vaccination will begin on May 1 and the registration process for vaccination will begin on 28th April via CoWIN website and Aarogya Setu app. The Aarogya Setu app is available on both App store and Google Play store.
Who are eligible to register for this phase of vaccination?
All above the age of 18 are eligible for registering in this phase of vaccination.
What are the pre-requisites to get the vaccination in this phase?
Online registration on CoWIN portal and Aarogya Setu app for the COVID-19 vaccination before visiting the hospital for first doze.
When will the registration process for this phase of vaccination begin?
From 28th April, the online registration will begin.
When will the vaccination begin for this phase?
From May 1, the eligible and registered users will be able to get the vaccine shot.
How to register for COVID-19 Vaccine Via CoWIN Portal?
1. You will need to visit the CoWIN website or cowin.gov.in and click on Register/Sign in Yourself.
2. Enter your mobile number and the select Get OTP option.
3. Type the OTP on the side and click on Verify.
4. Head to the Register for Vaccination page and enter all details including: Photo ID Proof, Photo ID Number, Name, Gender, and Year of Birth.
5. Next, click on Register.
6. You will get the option to schedule an appointment.
7. Click on Schedule next to the name of the person registered.
8. Enter the pincode and tap the Search button.
9. The website will then show up the centres in the pincode.
10. Select the date and time and click on Confirm. The website allows you to add up to four members through one login.
If in any case you wish to reschedule your appointment, the process is the same.
How to register for COVID-19 Vaccine via Aarogya Setu?
1. First open the Aarogya Setu app and then click on CoWIN tab available on the home screen.
2. Select Vaccination (Login/Register) and enter phone number, click on Proceed to Verify then enter OTP.
3. Click on Proceed to Verify and the you will be directed to the Register For Vaccination page.
4. Head to the Register for Vaccination page and enter all details including: Photo ID Card Type, Photo ID Number, Beneficiary Name as per Photo ID Card, Gender, and Year of Birth.
5. Next, click on Submit.
6. You will get the option to schedule an appointment.
7. Click on Schedule next to the name of the person registered.
8. Enter the pincode and tap the Search button.
9. The app will then show up the centres in the pincode
10. Select the date and time and click on Confirm. The app allows you to add up to four members through one login.
If in any case you wish to reschedule your appointment, the process is the same.
