Dudhsagar means 'a sea of milk' which is exactly how the waterfalls looks like. Dudhsagar waterfall is one among tallest fall in India. The fall looks more beautiful as it is surrounded by lush green Western Ghats.
The falls gathers the attention of many tourists and nature lovers who come from all over the country to witness the waterfall’s glory. It’s a great day trip near Goa. It is located on Karnataka-Goa border and became popular after it appeared in the film Chennai Express. Until recently, trekking to this waterfall was banned but now the ban has been lifted.

Anyone on Goa trip should go for a day trip to dudhsagar to experience lush green beauty and adventure on falls. Trek enthusiasts can also go for adventureous trek from Kulem to falls.
How to Reach
For reaching falls you have to go to Kulem first and then hire jeep along with life jaket from Kulem to falls. You can also trek from Kulem to falls.
We traveled from Palolem beach (South goa) to Kulem on bike and It took approximately 2.5 hours .On reaching Kulem hired a jeep along with life jackets. You can also reach Kulem from other parts of Goa within 2-3.5 hours.
On reaching Kulem you have to park
Nowadays north goa is crowded and generally people go to Baga beach, cancona etc. But to get peace, clean waters, stargazing while a drink sitting on shacks on beach....a must go is Palolem.
Cost involved from Kulem to Falls:
Jeep : Rs 3500 (max 5 passanger) – 700 / head.
Life Jacket – Rs 40
Camera : Rs 30 for still ccamera & 150 for video camera (No charges for mobile)

• Goa express is a daily passenger express train (12779) stop at Dudsagar
• Vasco – Howrah express (18048) every Tue, Thu, Fri, and Sunday around 8:50 in the morning.

• MAS/ Vasco Express (17311) Fri at 09:25
• Velankanni Express (17315) Mon at 11.25
