Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the
sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we
can ever learn from books.

I never set out with the intention of changing my life . All I wanted to see this place and then come back and get on with my regular existence .

Its this moment as the emotions are running are wild , that I often reflect how this journey changed me .

So when for the first time , I set out on such a long bike ride , I was bit sceptical if if I could ride such long distance on a scary and deadly as terrain of Hindustan - Tibet highway ..

That everyday waking up at 5am , when the body would ache and demand sleep I would pack my bags and tie them on my bike and ignite the engines , to ride on these tough roads and sometimes no roads at all. Those bumpy rides , those blind curves , those deadly water crossings combined with skin piercing winds did hurt me but amidst all the pain those magnificent mountains with the exquisite Spiti river not only was adding depth to the freakishly amazing but barren land it also made lost in the wilderness and made all the struggles worth it . Driving from the green hills into completely deserted spaces on high altitudes the land only grew to become wilder .

I dont know till how long I can continue doing this. I dont have any bucketlist to complete . I dont have any goals to achieve . Its just that I find pleasure in reaching where I want to , in talking to random people I meet on the way . That delight in becoming a part of someone's story and in writing about it in the diary. I dont feel there can be any greater pleasure than that. There is peace even in the most painful times. There is joy you cant fathom in being where you want to be and getting all lost in everything around .
