As soon as summer vacations start everyone of us look for a peaceful hill station to relax and we always first think about Nainital, Mukteshwar, Shimla, Dalhousie and so on. But this time I give you a place which is really peaceful and your stay will be quite relaxing. Not too much people, neither too much vehicles, just you and your happy holidays. So as I was already in Dehradun for vacations so I started from there at 8:30am in the morning. I reached there by 1:30pm as we stopped a lot due to travel sickness. We checked in the hotel, had a good and yummy lunch and took some rest.

Around 4:30-5:00pm in the evening we went out for shopping in the local market which is only 3-4kms from the hotel. As you enter the market you have to pay Rs.45/day for parking which is very nominal. Although it's a regular kind of market but as you go down to the market you find a shop with woolen stoles which is made by the local women self-help group and trust me it is really beautiful and warm.
On our second day we had a plan to visit Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple and Bhulla(Pahadi term for small brother) lake but again due to travel sickness issues we could only cover up the temple. So we started at 11:00am and reached the temple at 12:00pm. From our hotel it is around 34kms which took 1hour to reach. The temple is at quite peaceful place surrounded by the nature. If you have enough of time you can sit there and enjoy the beauty of the mother nature.
Then we returned from the temple at 1:00pm and as kids got very hungry so we stopped at Hill Castle restaurant in between the highway.

Lansdowne has a beautiful place where you visit any place very peacefully not much tourist and crowd. At tge Garhwal Rifles you can see the parade tgat happens on daily basis but you are not allowed to click any picture. You can also visit their music where all records of Garhwal rifles can be seen.

If you are going with toddlers or kids then must visit it they will surely enjoy it.
On the 3rd day we returned to our home. But few points to mention before I end here:
1) Water issue is there in every hotel so please do use it only in required amount. You can see villagers carrying water from various places for their home. So try not to waste it.
2) If you plan to stay at this hotel then around 100-200m you will find an organic shop from where you can take organic lentils, ghee, etc. at reasonable price.
3) Hotel will price 2500/- night or more depending upon the different rooms. Being travelling with 2 toddlers it was like another home to me as I did not find even a single problem to get anything for kids.
So overall it was a wonderful stay with very less crowd. If you are a peace lover then try this place.
