Introduction

After our first unforgettable journey from Goa to Tirupati, the allure of the road beckoned us once more. This time, We set out not just to revisit the sacred hills but to delve deeper into the experiences and emotions that this route offers. Having already experienced the vibrant beaches and laid-back vibe of Goa, We were eager to embark on our second road trip to Tirupati, a city renowned for its spiritual significance and breathtaking landscapes. This journey promised not just a change of scenery but also a deeper connection to culture and devotion. With the sun rising on a new adventure, We packed my bags and hit the road, excited to embrace the sights, sounds, and spiritual significance of this journey.

Planning the trip was a blend of nostalgia and anticipation. We revisited our previous route, making slight adjustments to include some new stops. Armed with a playlist filled with our favorite tunes, snacks, and a spirit of exploration, we set off early in the morning, ready for the open road.

As we left the serene beaches of Goa behind, we felt a mix of nostalgia and excitement. The coastal roads were lined with lush greenery, and we couldn't resist making our first stop at a quaint roadside café. Sipping on freshly brewed coffee, we savored a warm, flaky pastry while watching the early morning hustle of local fishermen preparing for their day.

We made our first stop in the charming town of Kumta. Known for its beautiful coastline, We took a moment to stretch our legs and enjoy a refreshing coconut water while watching the waves crash against the shore.

The Beautiful Detour to Gokarna

On our way to Tirupati, we decided to make a detour to Gokarna once again. The town’s serene beaches and spiritual vibe were calling to us. We visited the famous Mahabaleshwar Temple, a significant pilgrimage site, and immersed ourself in the peaceful ambiance. Afterward, we made a beeline for Om Beach, where the golden sands and gentle waves welcomed us. We spent an hour lounging in the sun, indulging in some delicious seafood, and absorbing the tranquil atmosphere. As the sun began to dip below the horizon, We took a moment to reflect on our journey so far, feeling grateful for the beauty around us..

The Scenic Drive to Bangalore/Tirupati

Leaving Gokarna behind, we resumed our journey toward Tirupati via Bangalore. The roads wound through picturesque landscapes, with hills rising majestically on the horizon. We made a brief stop at a viewpoint, where we captured the stunning scenery with our camera. The transition from the coastal plains to the rugged hills was mesmerizing, and we couldn’t help but appreciate the diverse beauty of India.

We took a day off from traveling and stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Rajajinagar.

Our Disappointing Experience at Marriott

Introduction

During our trip, we chose to stay at the Marriott, a name synonymous with quality and comfort. However, our experience turned out to be quite different from what we had anticipated. Here’s a detailed account of our stay, highlighting the key issues we encountered.

Reception and staff:

Upon arrival, we were eager to settle in after a long journey. Unfortunately, the check-in process was slow and disorganized. The employees here are ignorant of proper manners in a five-star establishment. You have checked in here, and nobody is around to show you to your room. When we dropped or picked up the key, Prachi, the receptionist, just asked us two questions: “are you checking out? And are you a guest of our hotel?” How can a hotel be safe if its employees aren’t even able to recall who is a guest and who is not?

Check-In Experience and Room Condition

When we finally received our room key, we were hopeful. However, upon entering the room, we met with disappointment. The cleanliness was not up to the expected standards—there were dust and hair in the bathroom, and the linens felt unwashed. It was disheartening, especially for a reputed hotel chain.

Amenities and Service

Throughout our stay, we encountered issues with various amenities. While the hotel’s location was convenient, the overall ambience felt lacking. Noise from the hallways and nearby rooms made it difficult to relax. The lack of attention to detail in common areas, such as the lobby and dining spaces, further diminished my experience. Food it’s a worst of all. Is Fairfield actually a part of the Marriott hotel group? Is the food truly fit for five star hotel? So where is the taste?

Conclusion

Overall, our stay at the Marriott did not meet our expectations. From the check-in process to room cleanliness and service issues, it was a disappointing experience. While we’ve had great stays at Marriott in the past, this time was an exception. We hope they address these concerns to improve future guests’ experiences.

Day 2:

Arrival in Tirupati

Left early morning after having breakfast, as we entered Tirupati, the atmosphere shifted to one of spirituality and reverence. Having visited before, we were eager to experience the temple’s grandeur once again. This city, known for its spiritual significance, felt like a different world.

The Divine Experience at Tirumala Temple

The Tirumala Temple, perched atop the hills, was as majestic as we remembered. We were filled with a sense of purpose and devotion. The view along the way was stunning, with lush forests surrounding us. Upon reaching the temple, the atmosphere was electric, filled with the chants of devotees and the fragrance of incense.

Inside the temple, we marveled at the intricate architecture and the idol of Lord Venkateswara. Participating in the rituals and receiving the sacred “prasadam” felt profoundly uplifting. We took our time absorbing the spiritual energy, grateful for the opportunity to visit this holy site again. The sense of community among the devotees made the visit even more special.
