I left Trivandrum on September 13, 2024, and traveled via Bangalore to Chikmangalur. It was pleasant to take time out from our extremely demanding work schedules to spend the holidays in Chikmangalur. My intention was to remain at "The Hosteller." The cost of food was the biggest concern, even though the stay was pleasant. It appears a little elevated. The accommodations were wonderful, with clean rooms and restrooms. I'd like to offer a picture of my enjoyable stay here.

1. Mullayyanagiri Peak, Chikmangalur
Approximately 6,316 feet high, Mullayyanagiri Peak was my planned destination for the following day. The highest peak in the Western Ghats and the 23rd highest peak in Karnataka. It is situated in the ranges of Chandra Dhrona Hills. At the summit stands a temple. It was a beautiful offer for the eyes, and the pleasant weather greeted me in all of its splendor. The summit is approximately 40 kilometers away from the lodging. If you don't consume the food in the city, Maggie will be the only food at the top.Plan to visit during the weekdays, as there will be less traffic on the weekends. Entry tickets range from Rs. 10 to Rs. 100 depending on the type of vehicle. After visiting the Mullayyanagiri peak, you can also visit Bababhudhangiri peak, Manikyadhara Falls, and Galekere. It's on the same way, so it's nice to visit on the same day. Here I am providing the photos of Mullayyanagiri Peak.

2. Hebbe Falls , Kemmangundi-Karnataka
Hebbe Falls, which was about 70 kilometers from Chikmangalur, was the place I intended to visit. I have to admit that the entire path was filled with verdant, lush scenery. You all must visit this location as part of the nature trip from Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. Private vehicles are not permitted, and the Jeep drivers charge Rs 500 per person, but all in all, it is a pleasant location. After seeing these falls, you can continue on to Z-Point, which is close by. Turn left out of the Kemmangundi main entrance gate to reach Z-point.

3.Hirekolale Lake
situated in the Western Ghats at the base of the Mullayanagiri Hills, 10 kilometers from Chikmagalur. It was constructed to give water for agriculture to the surrounding communities and as a source of drinking water for the town of Chikmagalur. You can see the sunrise and sunset from this location. It's a lovely, serene place. ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors.

4. Chennakesava Temple, Belur
Hindu temple from the twelfth century located in the Karnataka state of India's Hassan district. At Belur, the early capital of the Hoysala Empire, on the banks of the Yagachi River, King Vishnuvardhana ordered its construction in 1117 CE. It took three generations and 103 years to build the temple. Over its history, it has been regularly rebuilt and renovated after being frequently damaged and looted during battles. About 220 kilometers separate it from Bengaluru and 35 km from Hassan City.

Just adding some more pics of the Chikmangalur Ride.
