It was time to celebrate! And what better way to celebrate, than with a plate full of Maggi. Imagine yourself sitting here at an elevation of 3048 mts and gazing at breathtaking Himalayan peaks with friends by your side sipping chai and eating Maggi!

Amongst all the treks in Uttarakhand, Dayara Bugyal is considered to be the most breathtaking. The trek brings us to a highland meadow situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand which stands tall at an elevation of 10,000-12,500ft. Ideal trek for long weekends, Dayara Bugyal can be a perfect trek for beginners. The trek goes through open land and dense forest at different places ending up at the vast expanse of lush green meadow.

Most of the trekkers start their trek from Barsu village and trek down via Raithal village to experience the scenic beauty of both routes. I started my trek from The Goat Village Raithal, that act as an Base camp of the trek and trekked down from the same route. This route goes through the dense forest, and since not known to many, it is very isolated.

In this original, untouched expanse of land, no signs of man exist. No road, lights, structures, waste or unnatural noise. No electricity, No Internet. Here, it's only YOU and the NATURE.
After trekking through the dense forest for 5 Kms, we came across a small village; Goi. Finally, a break from isolation! We stopped here for a cup of tea at a villager's place before trekking further to Dayara Bugyal.

On trekking for another 3 Kms, we reached our destination and was blown away by the beauty of Dayara Bugyal. After 3 hours of trekking through the dense forest, we made it to DAYARA BUGYAL.

From Dayara Bugyal, the peaks of Draupadi Ka Danda and Mount Shrikanth are easily visible. This Breathtaking view is worth the climb.

How to Reach Dayara Bugyal?
Most of the trekkers start their trek from Barsu village. But we started out trek from Raithal Village, which is not known to many. To reach Dayara Bugyal from Raithal, Take a Bus from Delhi to Dehradun or Rishikesh. From Dehradun/Rishikesh, take a local Taxi to Uttarkashi. Get down at Uttarkashi and board another Taxi to Raithal Village.
From Raithal, an 8 Km trek through the dense forest leads to the heaven on earth; Dayara Bugyal. In Raithal, you can stay at The Goat Village, which act as a base camp for the trek. You can also stay at a local's place as villagers are friendly and opened to visitors.
