Living in Vancouver Island? Got a free weekend without any plans?
Go road-tripping to Victoria. Not only is it known as the capital of British Columbia but it is also a different world in itself. Especially if you are a huge fan of the Victorian era and are fascinated by old houses with stories behind them. You might be lucky enough to see a horse-drawn carriage providing you a fairy-tale escape from reality.
From the dazzling downtown area which is filled with incredible shops and restaurants to the harbor that offers guaranteed whale sightings. Victoria is definitely an attractive tourist spot with a crazy night life [Distrikt is the club that I'd suggest ;)]. The vintage buildings along with the vibrant colorful houses provide a complimentary contrast to the city. The streets are positively photogenic and I can guarantee you that even if you get lost in Victoria you wouldn't regret it.
From the Royal B.C. Museum to the Parliament Buildings and the Empress Building to Butchart Garden. This place would surely bring out the Shakespeare in you.
