So I have visited Himachal Pradesh last year in the month of December and it was freezing š„¶ cold temperatures went to -15 mid night.
We were in Himachal Pradesh for around 10 days and during our stay in this magnificent place we went to Tosh, Kutla, Buddhaban, glacierpoint, Manali, Hampta. Even though we didn't trek hampta pass we went to the basepoint of the trek.
Tosh and Manali have a completely different vibe, personally speaking I liked tosh much more than Manali because it was far less crowded and the views were breathtaking as well.
There are lot of things to explore in Manali to, we went to Hidumbadevi temple, pine forests,hampta pass base point.
We celebrated newyear in Manali and chritsmas in Tosh. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would love to trek to Tosh again.

If you want to experience Snow then you can go to Manali in November- December. 5 days are sufficient for exploring these places.

5days are sufficient to explore Manali, Kulu, Kasol and local site seeing. and the time which you choose is bestttt. But better to carry thick blanket and hair dryer (Hair dryer to produce heat in blanket) bcoz the temperature will be -10 or more. so please take care.
if you're lucky at that time you can experience Snowfall too!!
