Hi Niharika! Kedarnath is one of the holiest pilgrim centers in North India. It is famous for it's temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The best time to visit Kedarnath is between May to June and September to October. It is best to avoid visiting Kedarnath during winters as the temperature reaches sub-zero temperatures along with heavy rainfall. For travelling to Kedarnath, you can either take a bus, or you can hire a taxi/drive. You can also go by air or take a train till either Rishikesh/Haridwar. You can check out these trips for more details. Happy Travelling!
Hey Niharika , kedarkantha is one of the most exploited and most visited winter trek in Uttarkashi region . the base camp being sankri and then a camp called juda ka talao , I had summited it back in 2012 , when I was 11 yrs old . I also did Har ki dun the following week .All that when I was 11 yrs old . Both the Treks are really very easy and GMVN is a very affordable stay in the region although at juda ka talao and at kedarkantha base camp one needs tents . The approx cost per person will be about 8-9 K .
