I am travelling with my family ( including infant) in April sri lanka, would be there for five days. would like 2 spend two days at beachside and rest of the days to explore other place. would like to avoid major tourist spots and not too much of travel.

Then go to Mirissa from Colombo. Stop at Hikaduwa and Bentota and Unwatuwa beaches. Do Yala Safari from Mirissa

Hey, people mostly come to Sri Lanka for the pristine beaches of the south and southwest coasts. I would recommend you Hikkaduwa, Galle and Mirissa.
