The Forest Department checkpoint located less than a kilometre from Ghangaria is the place where the Valley of Flowers officially begins. You need to deposit the fees here to obtain the permit for traversing inside VOF. For obtaining the permit, you need to produce your identification cards like driving license, voter ID, passport size photograph along with a medical certificate ensuring that you are physically sound for the trek. Hey Thejesh,
The best time to visit Goa is from October to March. The climate from April starts becoming humid due to which you won't be able to enjoy the best of Goa until June. Monsoon arrives in July which continues till September when you won't be able to visit beaches much due to high tides.
Few important points that might help you plan your trip better.
1. Try finding a place to stay either in Candolim or Calangute area when in north because they are the closest to all the beaches you might want to visit.
2. Few Beaches you may want to visit: Vagator Beach, Sinquerim Beach, Candolim Beach.
3. To witness the sunrise you can go to Morjim Beach.
4. If you are thinking of visiting casino for a night, try Deltin Royale.
