You can follow the following routes: Route 1: Manali to Leh & Back Route Map: Delhi → Manali → Sarchu → Leh → Khardung La → Nubra Valley → Kargil → Srinagar → Delhi Distance Covered: Approximately 2,569 kilometers Route 2: Srinagar to Leh & Back Route Map: Delhi → Jalandhar → Jammu → Srinagar → Kargil → Leh → Karu → Sarchu → Manali → Delhi Distance Covered: Approximately 2,295 kilometers Tip: Avoid the season of Amarnath Yatra, July to August as the road route will be crowded and have numerous check posts. Rishikesh. And do try hostels there (Use hostelworld.com)

If you go Haridwar and Rishikesh both, then I would like to suggest, stay at Haridwar. You can easily book hotels via MMT. If you an adventure lover, then you can try Bunjee at Rishikesh..

You have to write the country you are most definitely visiting on visa application rest you can travel in the entire Schengen region without any restrictions.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
U hv to first decide in which Country you are going to spend the maximum number of days and if you planning on spending equal number of days in all places then visa has to be obtained from that Country which is going to be your point of entry...the rest of the itinerary can be planned after you get the visa...What we do is we book our Round trip flight ticket which is a refundable one to avoid losing money incase there is a visa issue.... next we book hotels on bookings.com and select those hotels which have a free cancellation option so that incase visa is denied or we change our Itinerary, we can cancel without being charged. They do not ask for proof of Internal flight or train bookings... so u just have to mention how u plan to travel from one place to the other in the Itinerary u will present for Visa purpose.

Jaipur, haridwar, rishikesh, agra. Dehradun is not far off but the thing is there is road construction in the way which could take time bcoz of jams. you could try dehradun if you board shatabdi train in morning from New Delhi.

Depends on location... traveling with whom and what's your objective or trip...if travelling with family for leisure than it would be better to book a package....if doing solo or with friends to explore than doing on your own would be better option
