I have been to most of the destinations in South India, and found the following three destinations are the best. Pondichery
Varkala Cliff
& Hoganaikkal I believe some may refute, but I found them less crowded and attractive in May. I have been working as a programmer in the AI Services and Solutions domain and travelling has been a hobby.

From Shillong double decker bridge is 2 hours away. You can reach Tryna via cab. Then do an half an drive to the bridge near premises, thereby trek for some couple of minutes to reach the exact spot. My advise would be stay in Tyrna overnight and plan visiting next day. Else start early morning from Shillong, and plan return same day.
The base station for the Nongriat trek is Cherrapunji, which is about a two-hour drive (54km) from Shillong. Ideally stay there overnight and then next morning drive to the roadhead hamlet of Tyrna which is 30min (12km) from where the descent starts.

Hey,, The best time to visit Munnar is from October to May. The weather during this time is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. The temperature ranges from 10-20 degree Celsius during the peak winter months of December and January, making it perfect for a comfortable holiday. The monsoon season, which falls between June and September, is best avoided as the heavy rainfall can make it difficult to travel and enjoy the natural beauty of the place. The roads may also be blocked due to landslides, making it difficult to move around. Overall, the winter and early summer months are considered the best time to visit Munnar.
