Hey Tania, For November, i would suggest you to go to both Dalhouise and Dharamshala which are 120 kms from one another... At this point of time Manali and Shimla will be flocking with lots of tourists where as less in these two places which will give you lots of space around... Also the snow clad peaks are much seen from Dharamshala and also you can go on a single day trek to Triund peak from Mcleodganj.... Hey Shraddha, Dehradun acts as a gateway for many treks in Uttarakhand and Himachal.. There are few treks like Nag tibba, Pari tibba, Pattharkhol, Rupin pass, and many more which starts from Dehradun... The climate will be pleasant here and now in winters it may see snow also ... For hitchhiking from or in and around Dehradun there are few places like Haridwar and Rishikesh.... Mussoorie is also a 30 Kms distance from Dehradun .... Happy Travelling!!!
