Where are you coming from? After reaching Punjab you can head to Ludhiana for some nice places to dine and drink, also go through a variety of shopping malls. Route 1 After that you can head to Chandigarh, again numerous good place to dine & drink plus you get to spend time in the most planned and beautiful city. Places like Sukhna Lake, Rock Gardern & Chhatbir Zoo are some of the best tourist spots, if they're of your interest. Else from Chandigarh you can head to Kasauli - Solan - Shimla - Narkanda (order of occurrence) the popular hill stations in H.P. 1-2 days in Kasauli & Solan are enough. From Solan you can go to Barog, there is a very nice & quaint Monastery down the valley. After that Shimla & Narkanda can be covered in 3-4 days. Shimla is mostly crowded these days with Familes, Narkanda is relatively quieter and more peaceful. Route 2 From Ludhiana instead of going to Chandigarh you can go towards Jalandhar and to Dharamshala & McLeodganj. It is a 5-6 hour drive from Ludhiana. Mcleodganj is very famous again. But very crowded these days. Atop Mcleod is Dharamkot which is relatively quieter. These can be covered in 2-4 days. Route 3 You can head to Manali from Ludhiana via Nangal/Anandpur Sahib. It is approx 10 hour drive from Ludhiana so 4-5 days needed for this one. Manali too is very crowded these days. Atop Manali there are other stops like Solang Valley, Old Manali, Rohtang Pass and then the very famous Leh-Ladakh. Hope this was helpfull.

While you can go for treks during July, due to monsoons the paths get slippery making it quite dangerous for trekkers.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
I think it's not a very good idea..bcoz monsoon are not good for treks...there is always risk of landslides!!!

Hi Niyati, July is a good time to travel in India as the rain keeps tourists inside their homes, so most destinations are free of crowds. Several hotels also offer all kinds of deals, which translate to substantial savings. Hi Mithun, In Karnataka, there's a small town called Dandeli, which will be relatively free of tourists and a great spot for white water rafting, rappelling, kayaking and trekking. You could also go for a jungle safari through the Dandeli National Park. Check out this link for further details: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/karnataka-an-offbeat-adventurescape-8835 In Kerela, there are numerous options for an adventure based plan. You could do bamboo rafting along its many rivers, go canoeing in its backwaters, climb some mountains in Wayanad and end with a trek in Munnar.

It really depends on your level of comfort and the time of the year. Food, Stay and a rental bike on per day basis around August can be anything between 2k per day to 5k per day depending on your choice of services

Hi Sandeep, In Hyderabad itself, you could make stops at Charminar, Salar Jung Museum, Hussain Sagar Lake, Chowmahalla Palace and the Mecca Masjid. Also for food, when in the Charminar area, near Purani Haveli, is the shop Munshi Naan - one of the oldest bakers in the city. Another food stop should be at Cafe Niloufer, to experience the old-world charm of Hyderabad's Irani establishments. Around Hyderabad, you could make trips to Warangal, Golconda Fort and the Ramoji Film City.
