There are some trains you can check from Mumbai to Harihareshwar. One is via Dapoli
One is via Kolad
One is via Chiplun. Kindly check the train names. The other ways are by bus and cabs from Mangoan.

Best way is .. take your car or hire a zoom car .. if you are reaching dapoli .. do visit ladghar, harne, kadyavaecha ganpati etc... harihareshwar & srivardhan are twins. you can reach Mahad and from there you can even get cabs, state transport buses.

Honestly, if you want to do justice to your Sikkim Tour, dedicate all 7 days to Sikkim alone, cover west Sikkim and north Sikkim also (besides Gangtok etc) which are amazing (I understand that there is a direct flight from Delhi to Gangtok now as Gangtok Airport is operational, pl check up). I don’t foresee any issue with your 2 Y old (just keep him adequately warm during journey and when outdoor).

There two ways to reach Dharamshala from kasol, the one you're looking at is via Mandi-Barot-Palampur, I don't know about the present roads condition but there are a few rough patches its twisty winding road, definitely short, the view you get is amazing. The other way is via Mandi-Hamirpur-Kangra, this is a bit longer 7H30min bit the roads are good for driving as they are less twisty and winding wah less than the forst one, the view is good.
of you're not comfortable driving or being driven to, in hair pind bends roads for the most part I'd suggest the Hamirpur route.
either way there are hotels to stay in Palampur and Hamirpur as well as in Barot.
start early in the morning (6-8AM) and then spend the afternoon and evening in places Dharamshala like Tapovan, Nourbulingka Monastery, The Divine Hima, Joyful Cafe, Bakes and brew, HPCA Pavilion, Espresso Bar, and so on.
places near Palampur that are worth a look is Andretta for pottery and Shobha Singh Art Gallery, both close at 4 so be a bit early, Bir Billing for paragliding, Barot for trout fishing. Places near Langra are kangra fort and Masoor Rock cut temple worth a look . either way you choose just see these place enroute and your day will be great.

AnswerWishlistNorth East is vast with many tourism circuits, you may not be able to see everything in one trip, so decide on a specific place - Sikkim / Meghalaya / Arunachal Pradesh / Nagaland or Bhutan. All places are equally beautiful but if travelling to that region first time, plan for a 7 days trip to Sikkim covering West and North Sikkim besides Gangtok etc.

Just near the border of noida and Delhi comes a beautiful sanctuary called the okhla bird sanctuary. you can go for good shoot or just to simply e jot the flaura and fauna around delhi. the forest is quite big and a lot of birds can be spotted there as they migrate from different places. and also near haryana and Delhi border towards faridabad comes the unexplored death valley. surrounded by arravali hills and the water beds around, only known by very few people
