How safe is it to stay in a hostel in terms of sanitation and hygiene? Can anyone recommend some clean hostels near Mumbai? I don't have the budget to stay in a fancy hotel

Look for good hostels such as zostel, hosteller, gostops etc. they mostly clean room on daily basis.

Hi Archit, Hostels nowadays are taking extra care of hygiene due to Covid restrictions. That being said, it's always good to read reviews about a hostel before booking to ensure a pleasant experience. A personal recommendation: Always carry your on bath supplies/toiletries when staying in a hostel as a precaution. How is Matheran in October? Is it travel friendly? I live in mumbai and am planning a weekend drive to Matheran. Can somebody give me a short itinerary for Matheran?

Hi Radhika, With the rains, Matheran can be a bit challenging but as we're transitioning to Winters now, the cooler weather is perfect for sight seeing. Whenever you visit Matheran, do make sure that you visit Sunset point, Charlotte Lake and Malang Point. Being well connected to Pune through roads, you'll not face any issues travelling as well. You can also choose trains like Sahyadri express to reach Matheran from Pune.
