From October, mild winter starts in Kashmir, which turns into full winter in november. so if you are travelling in October, you could pack one heavy sweater and one heavy jacket. If you are travelling in November carrying all your winter clothings is advisable.

There's one homestay in dharamkot - heena cafe and homestay. view from the property is pretty amazing do negotiate the price, food is good, rooms are clean and the wifi connection is also nice

Hey Ishwat! I know a place known as Guniyalekh, 50 km from Haldwani uttarakhand, well connected with road. There is two hostels right now, one is zostel & other is Doctor chill. This is an offbest destination, nearby famous hill station mukhteshwar.
