If you are a winter season lover and if you like snow it is the best time to go there as you can able to play with snow. You have to travel a distance of 105 km from Vaishno Devi to the town named as Patnitop. You can reach there by booking a cab from Katra that will cost about 2500 rupees for a one day trip

Hi Nadeem If you are planning to visit Yala National Park, you should ask your Safari driver to take you inside the jungle because sometimes they try to circle around the outskirts and dont show you as much as they promise. If you are tempted to go for Whale watching at Mirissa, you could try but you will hardly see any(like a glimpse of tail). Instead visit the turtle sanctuary bentota, you will love it their.

There are lot Many beautiful offbeat places in Ladakh other than usual Leh town, Pangong, Diskit, Hunder etc. It all depends on how many days you are planning your leh trip and your mode of transport. If you have more number of days then consider Turtuk and Hanle apart from the usual places. Visit the blog Devilonwheels for more info

You can travel to Orchha or Meghalaya in January. The weather would be suitable to visit both. If you travel to Orchha, you can also include Khajuraho, Raneh, Panna, Jhansi, Datia, Gwalior and Morena in your plan. All these places of forts and temples which are 1000 to 500 year old. If you travel to Meghalaya, you should visit Umiam Lake, Double Decker Root Bridge, Mawlynnong, Dawki and Sizu Caves

Why to go by ferry if its connected with road. Baratang has road connectivity. it will take 3 to 3 1/2 hrs to reach Baratang from Port Blair. Road is from Jarawa Reserve Forest area. If lucky you will see some Jarawan tribals while going through forest. You will feel like you are going through hilly area. one way bus fare 250/- one day ony taxi booking will cost around 3500/- to 5000/- Places to visit in Baratang: Limestone Caves, Mangroos Walk and boat ride(both are on the way to limestone caves) Mud Volcano Parrot Islands
