By yourself, through packages you don't really get to experience the place you will be travelling like a tourist and according to me that's the worst thing to do. Just read some blogs and plan the trip yourself.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Since it is for 2days you have to choose within 200km from your location. where are you located.

Pondicherry is amazing for 2 days as a solo. On the way you can visit Mahabalipuram and Chennai! You can refer my blog on Tripoto itinerary on pondicherry " Mini Goa" or Solo Traveller

Now it is a rainy season, and 90% are the chances that you can't roam around ghats as most of them get submerged in river. So if you want to see Varanasi in different perspective, yes, you can go, even I am thinking a lot to go there but unfortunately can't go this year due to other plans. Ganga Aarti won't stop. If ghats are submerged than they do on the terrace of buildings there. Again repeating, Ganga aarti will always happen, no matter what happen...
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Varanasi has its charms in all seasons. You can go and visit the ghats, but they would be flooded with water so you have to be very careful about your footsteps. As far as Aarti is concerned, that never ever stops. so you can easily listen to the Aarti and enjoy the rituals. You must visit the Sarnath and the Benaras University. Hanuman temple is also a tick off in the bucket list. Enjoy your travels to Varanasi and enjoy the rituals. Safe Travels.

Hi, we 2 ( my friend and me) travelled in Oct '18 on thunderbird r. It took 3 days to reach spiti with 3 halt (#narkanda #kalpa #nako). overall expense was 18k but that was closing time and snowfall started. Now a days budget should be 10k each.

Hey! these days there is flood in Brahmaputra river, so most areas of kaziranga national park in Assam and the nearby states are affected. yet for a 8 day itinerary, start with Assam only. 1. Kamakhya Temple: associated with mythological story of Shiv's tandav after death of his first wife Sati, this is a place worth visiting. it opens @8:00Am in morning. if you manage to reach early by afternoon you will finish Darshan and back in case not going for other temples nearby. This is situated in Hill region of Assam capital and hence the way to temple provides a beautiful view of the city Guwahati. After Darshan and lunch, you can go to the Assam state museum, which provides you a glimpse in the rich tribal culture of Assam and a brief of it's history. you need 2hours at least for the museum. then the park just in front of Museum and the war memorial at it's end are also worth a walk. and the market in the surrounding area provides you with good restraunts to eat. For dinner check out the Alfresco cruise dinner, may be its not open because of floods. buy if its there, conclude your day with a experience of local music, dance, sunset on Brahamputr River. Day2: start early from Guwahati for Shillong, and include a meal on way at Jiva veg as well as a visit to the umroi/barapani lake. the road on this route is in itself a trip, with mesmerizing scenic beauty and as its monsoon season, you will get to see a lot variety of flowers on way. The Barapani lake is a beautiful and vast lake where some water sports facilities are also there. enjoy your time with the waves from lake and between the scenic beauty surrounding it. you will reach Shillong quite in time as its 3hour drive from Guwahati to Shillong, including your halt at Jiva and Umroi, you might be here 3 in afternoon, go to police bazaar book some decent room for your stay and here if you want to go for a pocket friendly trip or luxury, can book Meghalaya tourism bus seat or taxi respectively in front of MTC bus stand in POlice Bazaar (PB) here. after that enjoy a walk through the local market and According to your energy level can go for rest to saving yourself for coming days. Also get passes of permission from Air Force for Shillong peak for next day. day 3: Shillong city tour, attractions are 1lady hydri park, or Nonglait park and animal land, 2.Ward's Lake 3 laitmukhrah cathedral, one of the largest church, also beautiful, 4. state museum, in laitmukhrah only, 5. ekephant falls 6.Shillong peak in laitkor Air gorce area (get permission from air force station in city a day prior), 7. Beware of the agents n guides outside station n tourist spots. They will offer you discounted rates bt the service will be pathetic. Always bargain with autowalas n shopkeepers, they will charge too high.

Hey, since you’ve chosen one of the best months to travel Rajasthan I believe you do not have to worry about the heat much as it will be a pleasant weather with green scenic views all around. But there are few precautions that you may take , eg. you should definitely not fall prey to the dealers in the form of rickshaw and auto walks outside Sindhi camp bus stand who’d promise you to show popular handicrafts places nearby but you’d end up at a dingy place and pay them uselessly. Hence waste of time, money and your energy. So book a cab in advance and plan to the pots to visit in advance. For any further advice, you may reach out for help. :)

Kullu district administration has temporarily suspended the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra. The decision has been taken by the administration due to heavy and continuous rainfall in the state in last few days. Yatra was started on July 15, and 900 passengers were registered on the first day of the Journey. At present no new passengers are being registered in Singhad base camp and the Pilgrims are instructed to stay in their camp. The Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall in the state till July 22. In such conditions the journey to the Shrikhand Mahadev becomes risky. On the very first day a passenger was injured due to dangerous path. The Shrikhand Mahadev trek is considered as one of the most difficult treks to do, but nothing can diminish the faith of a true Shiva Bhakt. Every year, the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra begins in the month of July for 15 to 20 days. Jathas or groups leave for the Yatra after their complete medical examination is conducted by the Trust and they are declared fit to take a trek to about 38 km. It is indeed a difficult trek but once you are in the spiritual zone and the divine Himself calls you to visit Him, there is nothing that can stop you from taking your foot forward to the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak. The Lord Himself gives its devotees the courage to reach up to Him. It is indeed an enriching experience one remembers for lifetime.

May be they just upload their package by themself. and tripoto did not consider checking them. but i believe if you plan well you will end up with better and budget trips which are better than offers which are here.
