It's really the best time to visit Darjeeling and Sikkim which you have chosen. Solo tours are no less interesting. You can get cabs from NJP Railway Station for both Darjeeling and Gangtok and the same from Bagdogra Airport. If you wish for the Toy Train, then you need to enquire and book your tickets for it at the earliest.
On the way to Darjeeling you'll find Sukna, Rongtong, Kalimpong and Sonada. Treat to watch. And on the way to Gangtok, you can find Sevoke, Kurseong etc places.
Hope you pack your bags well 😉

Hey Varsha. Yes, it's good to go if you can trek for 4 to 5 hours. Only thing to consider is that, they might provide a small camps with sleeping bag and not a lavish swiss camp that we get in Ladakh. Let me know if you need anythin else. 🙂
Hi Yogesh,The best time to visit Kuno Palpur is from October to February. The nearest Bus Stand is at Pohari (25km). You can hire four wheelers or Gypsy to go around the Park. Thanks!
For budget travelling try out beach shacks, if some are still open, but otherwise government owned hotels are pretty cheap and with best locations. as for the route - it really depends which side of goa you want to explore? in this off season both north (devar islands!) and south goa (awesome Portuguese villas) would have lesser crowds, and so you can explore the far off beaches. again this is the best time for going to the various waterfalls like arvalem and chorla! try while River rafting and fontainhas.
