Best time to visit Valley of Flowers is July to September.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
The Valley of Flowers is only open from month of June until the beginning of October, as it's covered in snow the rest of the year. The best time to visit is from mid July to mid August, when the flowers are in full bloom after the first monsoon rain.

Well this in not the best time to visit Sikkim and Darjeeling. While summer months from April to June are the ideal time to travel to Sikkim and Darjeeling, some travelers including couples also prefer to visit these beautiful towns during winter months from October to December.

Dear fellow traveler, for you Lansdowne is perfect place to visit in July or during monsoon. This is the best time enjoy the rich flora-fauna and the serene beauty around this Garhwali town of Lansdone. This place is just 255 kms from New Delhi and it takes almost 6 hours to reach. There were frequent buses From ISBT Kasmiri gate to Kotdwara which is 40 kms almost from Lansdowne. From Kotdwara you can hire a taxi to Lansdowne. Nestled in the lap of the Shivalik Ranges of lower Himalayas, Lansdowne is known for it's scenic beauty, weather and peaceful surroundings. This is the best hilly town to visit during Monsoon, during the rains the town became more beautiful and scenic. Here you can also do activities like trekking and camping. It is a very good choice of place but I will suggest you to avoid it in monsoon season due to chances of landslides specially after mid august till october. April to June (or mid july if weather is good) is the best time to visit.

Dear Fellow Traveler, You can visit Tungnath in the last week of August but it not the best time to visit. Although temple is open this time but during this period the area around Chopta and Tungnath experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorm regularly. During monsoon, this place becomes prone to landslides, which led to the road blocks and the trekking route also becomes slippery. So I recommend you to avoid your trip during this time period. You can plan your visit to Tungnath in the first week of October because after the rain wash over the hills, it leaves a crystal blue sky and a lovely fresh air. Tungnath comes more alive looking quite magical and more sparkling than ever before. This time is good for trekking and to enjoy the rich flora-fauna and the serene beauty around Tungnath. But if you still want to go Tungnath in the last week of August than I advise you, before planing your trip, see the weather prediction of next 7-10 days. Carry rain coat and light woolen clothes with good trekking shoes.
